Oct.11, 2010

On my way to uni, i was on the train, sitting alone in one big chair; trying to think what i need to do in preparation for my assessment task.

People around me were talking out loud, especially this kid behind me who was yelling at her dad. But interestingly, I heard this two people talking about 7 seats behind me about Christianity and other religions despite of the noise. They were also talking about "I dont get this..and i dont get that.."

My heart was beating so fast that I could not do anything. It felt like i ran 5km away or something! haha!

So I was like, "Dear God, what do you want me to do? I know you want me to do something. But please help me to do it, you know me.. how shy am I? Besides, I dont know what to say. These 2 people may be atheist or something. But please, be with me, if I will talk to them, please put words into my mouth and let what they hear be a revelation of You rather than just an information about You."

And so i gathered all my things and decided to stood up towards them. I introduced myself and said that I've been so interested in to listening to their discussions but couldnt hear properly because of the noise. I also asked if it would be okay to them to join their conversion. I also mentioned to them what church I go to.

Thank God for they accepted me and offered the seat in front them.

This bloke, about his 40's, said that he knows someone who is so close with him that is a priest. He said that the priest said to him, 'If you follow the 10 commandments then you will go straightly to heaven."

And I told him, well, think about this, John 3:16
"For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him.."
Then the lady with him continued the whole verse.

"Exactly!" I said. "If the only way to heaven is to follow the 10 commandments then God doesnt need to send His only Son to die for us. God wants us to have a personal relationship with Him. ..'believes in Him..' is have a relationship with Him."

I also said that "Religions today are man made. Religions try to make believers do good towards others. Not create barriers towards other believers! Again, God doesnt want that! That's why He sent His only Son to die for our sins so that we could have relationship with Him."

The lady with him agrees with me.Then the bloke agreed with me in the end.

Ephesians 3:20

Ephesians 3:20

~ "Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think."

To me the Bible verse is saying dont underestimate prayer for God hears it & He is able to answer them more than how we think or ask. Have you said to yourself that God doesn't listen to your prayers? Then, what does this verse tells you?

Luke 5: 31-32

Luke 5: 31-32~ "Jesus answered them, "Healthy people dont need a doctor - a sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are rigtheous, but those who know they are sinners & need to repent."

For me, it says to me that: Life is not a matter of running up high and stumbling on dirty mud, and getting back to where we left at because no matter how many times we get back up from getting dirty, we cannot wash away the dirt that stained us. I am so thankful to God that I may have made mistakes yet He is still there available to show where I was wrong and correct it for me. As the verses say, He have come for sinners to save them from their sins and heal them from the wounds that their sins have caused them. [my version of the verse]

Repentance

Revelation 3:19

~ "Jesus said, "I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference."

When we do what is good & right, the Lord is pleased but it breaks His heart if we sin. Repentance is like an act of saying sorry to God. Its goal was not to condemn but to restore relationship to intimate fellowship with Him.

~ To live a life that pleases Christ, it's crucial to obey His voice
